One of my favorite quotes summarizes it best: “yoga is the journey of self, through self, to self.” I have realized and continue to evolve into the best version of myself through a dedicated yoga and mindfulness practice. I was fortunate enough to begin my journey at a time when I was furthest away from the true me. I was not in the best place both physically or spiritually. After my first class, it was love at first breath being touched by the energy both physically and mentally. I had never experienced something that felt so intrinsically right. Like many of us, I was bitten by the bug and hungry for more. 500 hours of personal practice later, I transformed my body, but my new found perspective on life is what inspired me to share my experience and journey with others. I became certified as an instructor and my passion to help others achieve the same self-realization began.
Having the opportunity to practice is inspiring enough but, being in position to guide others is truly something that I treasure. Playing a role in witnessing and enabling others on their own journey of self-realization inspires me daily. My life’s mission is now to empower others to realize their best self through yoga and mindfulness.
